In a recent panel for SPN Indy Supernatural 2022, Misha Collins shared some more details about joining the DC Universe as District Attorney Harvey Dent for The CW’s Gotham Knights. Not to be mistaken for the upcoming video game of the same name. It was only recently that the actor revealed that he would be staring in the pilot episode, and we’ve been eager for more details since.

He said:

I can tell you that I’m playing Harvey Dent, which is a character from the Batman universe, who becomes Two-Face. I had a little compunction about that because I know my ex will be like ‘Fitting role!’ [Laughs.] That did actually cross my mind, I don’t want somebody to have such an easy insult for the rest of my life! Warner Bros. seems to be putting a lot into the pilot, it’s great. It seems like it has a great team behind it. For example, our costume designer did The Handmaid’s Tale, like really top-shelf people on the project.

Before Collins joined the short list of Harvey Dent actors, Nicholas D’Agosto was the last person to play the character in the early episodes of Gotham, although he never got to step into the Two-Face persona. It’s also understandable why Collins would worry about now being called Two-Face as an insult, but he at least seems impressed with everything he’s seen of Gotham Knights so far.

He added:

If it gets picked up and turned into a series – which would be really cool – my character will be Harvey Dent for the whole first year, so I have a nice long stretch of not being two-faced, and then I become Two-Face! Yeah, I’m looking forward to it and I’ll be the old person on the show!

Looking at who The CW has cast for the pilot already, Misha Collins will definitely be the most seasoned actor out of them, but more may be added to the list before shooting goes ahead. So far, we have Oscar Morgan playing a new character Turner Hayes, Fallon Smythe as Harper Row, Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Row, Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela Dent, Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelley, Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown and Rahart Adams as Brody. The pilot was penned by Batwoman writers Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux, and Natalie Abrams.

Gotham Knights is set after the death of Bruce Wayne, leaving Gotham to fall further into ruin and corruption. His adopted son makes an alliance with the children of the Dark Knights rouge gallery, who are all framed for his death, pinning the group as Gothams’ most wanted. Trying to clear their name and become the city’s next saviors, they call themselves Gotham Knights.
