DC will release a team-up special with Batman and Superman teaming-up with musician Weird Al Yankovic.

DC will unleash Batman/Superman/Weird Al: World’s Weirdest #1. The one-shot is a 40-page comic book where the World’s Finest will join forces with the parody musician Weird Al. Mark Waid writes, with Weird Al providing “vibes” whatever that means. Dan Schoening provides the art for the comic special.

The special promises to the terrific trio coming up against some threat that took over Mr. Mxyzptlk’s fifth dimension home universe. Naturally, they need Weird Al to help.

Mark Spears, Riley Rossmo, and Jerry Gaylord also provide variant covers. Main artist Schoening illustrates an additional cover that is a foil variant.

Weirdly, this is not even close the first time Weird Al has teamed with DC Comics. He previously guest‑edited a 2015 issue of MAD Magazine.  He also was featured in  variant covers. He was in the “Totally Normal Al” cover for Bizarro: Year None #1 and a “Weird Al” variant for Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #50, both drawn by Dan Mora.

Batman/Superman/Weird Al: World’s Weirdest #1 arrives September 2, 2026.
