Late last week, DC Entertainment dropped a new trailer with more information about their digital streaming service DC Universe. Along with a vast library of DC films, both live-action and animated, and famous DC comic books, the digital service will also offer original TV show content. Think shows like Stranger Things on Netflix or The Handmaid’s Tale on Hulu, except strictly DC properties.

It’s already been announced that the first batch of these original shows will be Titans, Young Justice: Outsiders (we did it!), Harley Quinn, Doom Patrol, and Swamp Thing. We’re still not entirely sure when this service will be launching, although rumor is a beta will launch sometime in August, nor do we have a timeframe for these shows, but we may know which show will be launching with the service.

Actor Minka Kelly, who plays Dawn Granger a.k.a Dove of Hawk and Dove fame, says that Titans will be among the service’s launch lineup. This is what she said to Mario Lopez in an interview on On With Mario.

“DC Comics is launching their own streaming service and they will be launching it with this show. We just wrapped out first season a couple weeks ago.”

Along with Young Justice: Outsiders, Titans is the other show we know the most of from the DC Universe lineup. Just this week we got a great look at Brenton Thwaites as Robin from Titans and a new image from Young Justice. So it would be no surprise to me if one or both of these shows launched with the service to draw fans in.

Titans also stars Anna Dip as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Raven, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Alan Ritchson as Hawk, Minka Kelly as Dove, and Lindsey Got as Amy Rohrbach.

Keep it to Dark Knight News for more information on this new digital service from DC Entertainment.
