Gotham Knights released a new trailer highlighting the various villains in the anticipated game.
The clip drops a pretty big plot detail too. In the opening scene, we see Renee Montoya visiting the grave of James Gordon. In the Gotham Knights universe, both Batman and Commissioner Gordon are dead.
However we also see her turning to the Bat-crew for help. Next is a montage of various villains in the game. We knew about the inclusion of Mr. Freeze and the Court of Owls. However, we also see some new iterations of characters, including Harley Quinn and Clayface.
An interesting detail is that Harley seems to have a new status quo. She hasn’t re-entangled with the Joker and even appears to be at least trying to go legit. In the final scenes of the trailer, Harley looks like she’s hosting a giant conference, as if she’s a speaker of some sort. This certainly gives a different take on the character.
She also ends the trailer an very cryptic tease: “I got a surprise for you!” Could it be the Joker? Or perhaps a revived Bruce Wayne? Or is it something entirely different?
Gotham Knights is set to hit PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 25.
