It’s been longer than planned since my last review, but I’m back for Batman: Wayne Family Adventures chapters 7-13! Released on WebToon every Thursday, this short series is great if you need a little boost to get you through the day. We’re getting to see more of this dysfunctional family functioning every time and it’s truly brilliant to witness.

What’s in store for us this time?

Them Be Fighting Words

We all know that the Bat-Family are a competitive bunch. We also know what brothers can be like (if you don’t have brothers, congratulations). So, of course, a prank war between the siblings, especially one with Damian involved, can only go well… right? Compared to the Bat-Bingo where they joke about how they’ve died in the past though, I think an extreme prank war isn’t as bad as things could get. They make up for all of their antics for the little assassins birthday at least, even if he is forced to look more presentable then he would like.

We got a dose of emotion in these chapters too. Following our newest addition for the Wayne Manor, Duke has a crush. It’s cute to see him try to work through his nerves to speak to her and Dick give him some advice, which hopefully he doesn’t follow. Their over protectiveness comes out when they follow him to his first date with her. Of course his siblings tease him when they find out, because what else would a family do? They have his back no matter what though, which is made clear when they comfort him on the roof afterwards.

We’re got you duke. We’re here.

Conclusion

Even if the feels were a little sudden, I’m glad they were slotted in. As much as I love all the feel-good, fun stories of my favourite DC family, seeing them be there for each other when things get a little hard for one of them is wonderful. It really let’s you see them as a real family.

This has been the third Batman: Wayne Family Adventures review. If you would like to read the last one, you can find it here. Hopefully there won’t be such a long wait until the next one.
