With all the rumors swirling around on who will replace Ben Affleck as Batman, one fan has already imagined, what if Jon Hamm played the Dark Knight?

As one can tell, Hamm certainly has the jawline to play the caped crusader. Furthermore, the actor definitely looks like Bruce Wayne, with his swagger and coy smile.
But how likely is Hamm going to play Batman in an upcoming movie? Probably almost zero. Matt Reeves has stated that he wants a younger actor for his Batman solo film. Hamm is 47 years old, one year older than Ben Affleck. Furthermore, Hamm has stated how he wouldn’t like being “Locked in” the role of any superhero for years. Here is a quote from Hamm in a Hollywood Reporter interview in 2014.
The deals that they make you do are so Draconian. And, of course, you are signed on for not only the movie … but at least two more that you haven’t read, and you have no idea what they are going to be and all the crossover ones you are going to have to do. For me to sign on now to do a superhero movie would mean I would be working until I am 50 as that particular superhero. It’s a lot of work at one thing, which is not necessarily the reason I got into the business, which is to do many things. If you want to spend all day pressing the same key, that … seems an odd choice.
Still, it’s fun to imagine Hamm’s Batman going up against Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker. Heck, in a few more years, they can even just do a The Dark Knight Returns movie with that cast.
