‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ Harley Quinn DLC Pack Description, Set in Blüdhaven

This time next week, we’d be about 3 months away from Rocksteady’s epic conclusion from the Arkham franchise, Arkham Knight. It’s still sometime away, but thankfully, I’ve been finding good distractions to keep me from waiting anxiously. If I weren’t, I’d likely be lying down in a corner somewhere, in the fetal position, continuously replaying the first Arkham Knight trailer over and over on a tablet.

Speaking of that first trailer, it was revealed at the tail-end of the trailer that there would be a Harley Quinn DLC upon preorder, which would mark the very first time in the franchise we’d be able to play as the character despite her appearances in all the Rocksteady games, a starring role in a DLC, and her ever-increasing popularity. Well, a few days ago. Amazon provided a description of the DLC on their Batman: Arkham Knight preorder page. Pretty big reveal, actually.

Take a look:

Harley Quinn

For the first time in the Arkham series take on the role of Joker’s psychotic side-kick Harley Quinn and wreak havoc inside the Blüdhaven Police Department. With this exclusive Story Pack experience events in the lead-up to Arkham Knight as you infiltrate Blüdhaven to rescue your partner in crime: Poison Ivy. Delve deep into Harley’s demented nature and utilize her devastating baseball bat to smash, crash and bash your way to a friend very much in need.

I took about four big things from this description. First, we’re heading to Blüdhaven, which is pretty cool as it will be the first time that we will be playing outside of Gotham City and possibly the first time Blüdhaven has ever been represented in games (Correct me, if I’m wrong). Maybe Nightwing will make a speaking appearance. Second, it’s a bit of prequel to Arkham Knight. Third, Ivy and Harley are in cohoots again! Four, it looks like they’re going to do Harley’s origin story. Here’s to hoping that it’s going to be deeply inspired by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm’s Mad Love.
