Detective Comics #1102 lets the infection spread… But how long can Batman survive? Let’s jump in!
Don’t Stand So.. Close to Me…
As we feared last issue, Batman has been infected. He has 46 hours until he will be incapacitated. So the countdown clock is on, and the Dark Knight has to track down who infected him and with what. We know that this infection involves something to do with fear. Scarecrow seems to know more than he is letting on. Whoever is responsible for this knew what they were doing so it’s safe to assume Batman is fighting someone who is calm, calculated and definitely planning something majorly evil.
This issue takes Bruce across the sea travelling far from Gotham to try and get to the bottom of this. But with time ticking against him will he get answers before time runs out?
King Chemicals
I’m enjoying this story. Every time we get a new character, a new villain and a new story arc for Batman I feel more than excited. What I’m reading now could be the next Joker, the next Riddler, the next Court of Owls… I love it. It really brings the comic nerd fan out in me. So I’m in no rush to have a big reveal. I’m not jumping to have the villain behind the curtain reveal themselves. This issue jumps the story ahead way quicker then I anticipated, which leads me to believe that we’ve only scratched the surface of what’s happening. With Tom Taylor writing and Mikel Janin’s art: we’re in very safe hands.
Conclusion
Detective Comics #1102 adds tension, a time limit and a new villain. What more could we want from part two of this story?!
