Batman: Escape from Arkham Asylum Board Game

The tables have turned, in the Batman: Escape from Arkham Asylum board game, where you play as the villain fighting for freedom, instead of the hero keeping Gotham safe.

The inmates at Arkham Asylum are causing a ruckus again, but they’re making too much noise, meaning that Batman will swoop in to ruin their plans.

With a large collection of villains to play as, from The Joker, Harley Quinn, Two-Face, The Penguin, Bane, Poison Ivy, and The Scarecrow, just to name a few, your goal is to work as a team. Escape is the main goal, but not the only one.

Every character has a secret agenda they’re trying to complete as they escape, whether that’s to get away by themselves or to cause as much chaos as they go. Be careful though, the Dark Knight will step in to stop you if you draw too much attention.

Moving around the board will reveal the tile’s content, which isn’t always a good thing. If tokens appear in the same room, a group of Adversaries will show up to try to stop you. The Alert Level, which starts as green, will change your opponent’s difficulty as it changes color. If it reaches red, Batman will enter the game, and that’s the last thing the villains, who were put in there by Batman, want. Again. Batsy can also be called into the game by a bad dice roll, so good luck to those cursed by the Dice Gods!

Batman: Escape from Arkham Asylum is still a developing game that you can pledge money towards to earn exclusive rewards and help the creator, Knight Games, make add-ons to expand the game. You can buy your own copy here.
