We finally have some good news after everything that’s been happening in the world of DC, and it’s that the Harley Quinn series is not getting canceled! Also, the announcement of the DC Universe’s Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters that’s rebuilding the DC Multiverse is exciting, mainly because our beloved Harley Quinn series will not be a target of their many changes.

On Tuesday, co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran were asked about the HBO Max animated show, and both said that they will continue with it, noting that it’s “fantastic”, Gunn adding “Yeah, considering I’m on the show”.

Harley Quinn was renewed for a fourth season in August 2022, with a Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special episode that aired on HBO Max on February 9th. There had been lots of worry and uncertainty about the show’s fate, especially with all of the recent cancellations of well-loved series.

Billy Wee, Senior Vice President of Comedy & Animation at HBO, had this to say:

“Patrick Schumacker, Justin Halpern and their incredible team of artists and writers have created something so explosively funny and original, and we are thrilled to continue this journey with them and the show’s legion of fans. It has been amazing to watch the show grow and evolve this season and we could not ask for a more talented and dedicated team of collaborators”

Peter Girardi, Executive Vice President at Warner Bros. Animation:

“Three seasons down and I can’t even begin to think about the new levels of chaos and trouble that Harley, Ivy and the gang can get into with a fourth season. , but I’m grateful to our partners at HBO Max for continuing this insane ride with us so we can all find out”

We’re so happy to know that Harley and her team of villains won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
