It seemed like The Batman was finally going to happen, and all was right in the world. Unfortunately, news dropped that a member of the crew had tested positive for COVID-19. Production on the film was therefore paused after only 3 days filming. Sources, however, are saying that the identity of the crew member is the man underneath the cowl. It seems that Robert Pattinson has tested positive for COVID-19.
On Thursday morning, news dropped that production had shut down once more, due the revelation that a member of the crew had tested positive. The identity of the person had remained a mystery, as it should, given this type of delicate matter. At the time, WB remained tight-lipped about any specific details providing only a brief statement to the press:
A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused.
However, later that day, Vanity Fair reported the even more bonkers news that the crew member in question was in fact, RBattz himself. Thankfully, production has halted, as WB determines what their next course of action should be. 
What’s gonna happen?
Deadline reached out to Ann Sarnoff, head of WarnerMedia, regarding the news about Pattinson. Skirting the identity of the person who tested positive, Sarnoff simply stated that they are currently investigating the matter.
Sarnoff said:
We’re still in the middle of investigating what is the situation. We’re pausing temporarily for now until we have more information, but we have all the protocols set up to do contact tracing and hopefully get back up into production very soon.
Of course, he wasn’t about to reveal any internal discussions. Publicly, it seems that they’re not willing to discuss Pattinson, or any timeline for the movie. So, at the moment, they’ll conduct their investigation and contact trace to see with whom RBattz came into contact.
Considering how fantastic The Batman teaser was, it’s clear we all want this movie to happen. However, we’ve got to think about the safety of the crew, and Pattinson’s health. DKN wishes our new Batman well as he quarantines.
