Review by James Attias
Detective Comics #1108 takes us deeper into the mystery. The corruption. The grave…
HatchBat
After a shock ending last issue of the unnamed hero’s grave, we pick up right where we left off. This story is going to use a lot of mystery and gaps to prolong the tale of our departed hero. I’m enjoying it, without giving too much away, we see some glimpses here, and color me intrigued Bat-fans, as it looks like Tom Taylor is giving us another new character. Can’t wait to have my heart broken again. We’re also treated to a hilarious new bat vehicle – The Hatch Bat. Read and enjoy, just when you think it’s done, it’ll surprise you again.
Team Up
This team up is running very smoothly, I have to say I hate it when heroes who’ve known each other for decades, then argue over nothing. This story is very well written, a moment between Oracle and Canary was hilarious. So more of that please. The art in this issue was stunning, I don’t know why the artists split the work, maybe to show the time change from past and present, but next time guys, keep it to one, having two artists split the book always jars me. Otherwise the art itself was b.e.a.utiful!
Conclusion
Detective Comics #1108 is another great addition to the story that enriches the plot and keeps us all on our toes!
