As mentioned earlier this month, an animated TV special called Lego DC Comics: Batman Be-Leaguered will air on Cartoon Network on October 27, 2014 at 6pm/5c. This special animated feature, written by Jim Krieg and produced by Brandon Vietti, will tie-in to the upcoming video game, Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, which will be available on November 11th. Be-leaguered is a part of Cartoon Network’s Halloween “Hallo-Week” promotion, which is a week-long event of new programming that will air weeknights at 6pm from Monday, October 27th to Thursday, October 30th.

Batman prides himself on being a loner, a totally self-sufficient one-man-band. Just ask anyone; Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, Alfred… anyone. So, he is understandably irritated when his nightly cleanup of Gotham City villains is interrupted by Superman, who pesters Batman to join his new superhero team, The Justice League. After Batman makes it quite clear to the Man of Steel that his invitation has been declined, Superman flies off disappointed… whereupon he is overcome with a strange energy and vanishes!
