Grayson: Earth One is a re-imagined origin story of Dick Grayson/Nightwing. The series will take place in a new Earth, which will be separate from the continuity of the usual DC Comics.
Such a step was taken in order to create more freedom to explore the character in a diverse setting, while still retaining the occasional familiar trait. However, since the ties to the usual DC Comics world are not present, certain predictions concerning the character will not be materializing, thus providing a fresh take to this seventy three year old character (based on his first appearance: Detective Comics #38. 1940).
The brain behind this project is Writer and Director Hisonni Johnson who is far from a novice in the field of filmmaking. He has received 70 awards for his critically acclaimed web series “Fight Night Legacy” and “Olympia.” He also received the Grand Prize at LaWeb Festival; the world’s largest web festival.
Hisonni is asking for help via monetary contributions in order to bring his vision to life. His plan is to create six episodes of high quality entertainment with the use of these funds.
