DC Comics announced the former Nightwing artist Bruno Redondo’s next project: Batman: Justice Year.
In the weeks leading up, writer Joshua Williamson and Redondo have been dropping cryptic images with quotes from Batman and the other Justice League members.
“I hope you know you’re always welcome here. It doesn’t have to be the end of the world.”
“Involving the Justice League is a risk.”
“Get out of my city. Now!”
“No one escapes Gotham.”

‘Batman: Justice Year’ Synopsis
Now DC has revealed it is Justice Year. Justice Year will focus on how Batman’s first encounter with the Justice League. For the first few years of his career, Batman has stuck with his grounded approach to crime-fighting. His villains were also grounded despite looking fantastical. However, that is all different when he meets the Justice League. Now Batman needs to accommodate different personalities, fellow superheroes who are his peers, and also being the only person on the team without powers.
There is some level of isolation for Batman, seeing how he compares to super-powerful beings like Superman or Wonder Woman.
Current Superman writer Joshua Williamson and acclaimed- Nightwing artist Redondo will serve as the series creative team.

It is unclear where in continuity this is supposed to take place. We can assume it is at least Batman’s third or so year in his career. The preview images show him with the pouch utility belt design.
We also see a glimpse of the Justice League roster: Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and Black Canary. While there was not any specific line-up like this in the past, it appears to be the Satellite era of the Justice League.
Not many other details are release beyond the teasers and the creative team. We don’t know when it will be released or if it is a mini-series or something else.
