A new set video of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker terrorizing a Gotham subway station hit the web.
As previously reported, Phoenix’s Joker was seen exiting a subway car amongst protesters. As clown mask-wearing henchmen swarm the panicky crowd, the Joker casually strolls off-camera. The latest set video shows what happens immediately afterwards.
The Joker continues his jaunty walk up the stairs of the subway station. He is so chill, he even takes time to light a cigarette. Meanwhile, the police are running past him, oblivious to this clown-faced weirdo leaving the crime scene. Additionally, one of the running cops falls over as he pasts the Joker-clutching his leg in pain.
Love That Joker
The scene certainly gives more questions than answers. Like, what happened to that fallen cop? Did he trip? Does he have a bad leg? Or perhaps there is Joker-booby trap that sprang, injuring him. Also, the Joker smokes? This just begs the question of what the timeline before he meets Batman for the first time. By the time the Joker confronts an adult Batman, he could be potentially 60 years old AND riddled with lung cancer. He maybe fighting Batman out of an iron lung at that point!
