If you have enjoyed the Batman Arkham video game franchise and haven’t read the tie-in comics, you’ve really missed out. Considering that the enthralling stories of the games make those stellar gameplay experiences exponentially better, I recommend that you enrich your experience and immerse yourself even further in that world.

In the past, DC released a prequel comic to Arkham City of the same title, as well as another one titled Arkham Unhinged, that mostly ran concurrent with the story of the aforementioned game. Arkham Unhinged was released as a digital first title, with chapters being collected into individual print issues. Arkham Origins got the prequel comic treatment, but that one was a choose your own adventure type of read. While it was eventually collected into a trade paperback, it unfortunately never hit stands in the form of monthly individual issues.

Thankfully DC is giving Arkham Knight the digital first prequel treatment. If you want to find out what happened between the events of Arkham City and Knight, this is for you. We can only assume that it will be collected into individual print issues in the spring, but there’s no confirmation as of now. It is safe to assume, however, that a trade paperback is in the cards.

Entertainment Weekly describes the series as such: “Written by Peter J. Tomasi (Batman and Robin) with art by Viktor Bogdanovic and Art Thibert, and covers by Dan Panosian, the Digital First comic will pick up the story whereArkham City left off. The Joker is dead, and the Arkham City prison complex is closed. In a dark place, Bruce Wayne is questioning whether Gotham needs Batman—but new trouble begins to stir, all of it tied to the Arkham Knight.”

The first digital chapter of Arkham Knight goes on sale February 24, 2015. The video game hits shelves June 2 and will be available for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You can check out some artwork for the comic below.

UPDATE: This title WILL see print issues! Expect the first issue to arrive in comic shops on March 11.
