Detective Comics #1109 picks up where we fell from last issue! Let’s kick off…

Super Arrow

Last issue was fun, new character, new villains, new mystery. This issue was more of the same, with more exposition with a dash of forbidding. It was a fun issue that showed off Oliver Queen’s strength… Literally. His talents as an archer, explained by Batman, have never made Green Arrow feel cooler. Looking forward to more of that. This issue on the other hand definitely made Black Canary look a little bit less than sharp. I won’t give too much away, but I hope it’s part of the story.

Prion

Who or what is Prion? Smart, skilled, young, terrible mask. But other than that, still a mystery, Prion also managed to evade the great Detective himself, which I found slightly unnerving, as Batman has tracked impossible people and creatures before. I hope we get a great Tom Taylor backstory on this one. The art this issue as usual for Mikel Janin was fabulous, I just love it when a comic looks like this: fun, action packed, colourful and beautiful. Two bat thumbs up.

Conclusion

Detective Comics #1109 was good, but felt like an exposition issue, I want more pure story and consequences next issue!
