Portal Games has announced the debut of a new tabletop game, Batman: Everybody Lies that will take players deep into the streets of Gotham City.
Game on
Portal Games is a pretty well-established player among the tabletop crowd, known for their patented “Detective Investigation System” that drives its popular Detective line of games. The system incorporates online databases and digital cut scenes along with the customary player cards and handouts to create a unique multi-player crime-solving experience that’s perfect for the amateur sleuth in everybody. Batman: Everybody Lies promises to introduce some new mechanics to the system.

Batman: Everybody Lies puts players into the roles of well-known characters and has them explore familiar locations and go up against Batman’s formidable rogue’s gallery. Here’s the pitch:
Batman: Everybody Lies, will feature an original narrative in a crime-solving deduction game where players need to gather evidence and connect the facts to unravel the mystery. Fully anchored in rich comics lore, Batman: Everybody Lies challenges players to take on the roles of four key investigators – instinctive journalist Warren Spacey, tenacious reporter Vicki Vale, brutish detective Harvey Bullock, or the cunning Catwoman – who are drawn into a series of mysterious events unfolding in Gotham City for their own respective agendas, ultimately becoming unlikely allies entrusted to help thwart villains new and old as only the World’s Greatest Detective can!
The kitchen table is hardly a new battleground for the Dark Knight, but this game looks like it could be a fun new twist for game night.
