Justice League – the gift that takes as much as it gives. This movie’s been in the news, to varying degrees, for the better part of 4+ years; most recently the Snyder Cut version. Often rumor, the Snyder Cut became official at the beginning of this year and is slated for HBO Max early 2021. It seems like the work that’s currently being done on what’s now called Zack Snyder’s Justice League is a mix of finishing old work, reshoots, and filming entirely new scenes. Our only glimpse has been the trailers that have been released since DC’s Fandom.
Or they were… Warner Bros. has pulled the new Justice League trailer from platforms, like YouTube, which has led fans to worry, and raised some conspiracy theories.
Probably to rebrand everything.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League title needs to be added.
Release date needs to be added.
Warner Max logo needs to be removed since it got absorbed into WB and New Line by AT&T and WM.
Or Zack could be releasing the full Hallelujah trailer.

As ComicBook.com has reported, a much simpler explanation is the cause: the trailer was using music without the proper rights. Even Warner Bros. has issues with Copyright Notices it seems. Evidently, the music in question can no longer be used in the trailer, so the studio has pulled it until those issues are resolved. Likely resulting in selecting new music for the trailer (perhaps with new footage) or paying more for the rights.
HBOMax Confirms All Is Good
Details have yet to be released, but Hallelujah, by Leonard Cohen, is what caused the trailer to be pulled. The song, from the 1984 album Various Positions, is a Snyder favorite as he used it in Watchmen too. It does make one wonder why there’s a sudden issue with Warner Bros.’ use of the song for Justice League, but there should be no cause for alarm.

As per the HBOMaxHelp Twitter account, Zack Snyder’s Justice League will still be available in 2021. We’re still going to be treated to a 4-part miniseries instead of a movie. While nothing’s been confirmed, I think we can expect each part to be around an hour long. As one of the biggest critics of Zack Snyder’s work within the DCEU, I think this could be rather exciting. While I’m not the biggest fan of Man of Steel or Batman v. Superman, Justice League always looked like it was going to be, in my opinion, his best work.
What’s exciting for me is that we’ll be seeing the original cast, including Batfleck himself, Ben Affleck, suit up for the reshoots. Joining Affleck are Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, and Ray Fisher; and also Jared Leto, Joe Manganiello, and Amber Heard, who are coming back for reshoots.
