Batman gets his own spin-off comic for the crossover event DC K.O. called Batman: Knightfight.
Joshua Williamson will write and Dan Mora will draw Knightfight. The four issues mini-series is set to battle alternate universe versions of the Robins. However, each Robin comes from a different universe where Batman has died or retired, so they have taken on the cowl of Batman. Now our prime Batman must duel each of them.
Williamson talked about it how Knightfight will be just about as much as Batman’s emotional turmoil as it is with the actual action.
“These fights are emotionally charged, but at their core, this is a fight comic,” Williamson said in the DC Nation interview. “Batman faces off against Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damian in newly created versions of Gotham, each one shaped by the Heart of Apokolips. These worlds reflect the essence of each character and are designed specifically to defeat Bruce. In the past, Bruce has often questioned his role as Batman, and whether the sidekicks he’s trained might one day surpass him. Now, he gets to see that play out firsthand.”

Spoiler Alert for ‘DC K.O.’ #1
In DC K.O. #1, during the qualifying battle for the tournament to become the Omega King, Batman shockingly gets killed off early on. Fortunately, he didn’t literally die. Instead, the losers in the preliminary round get ossified into stone statues. However, it being Batman, he was able to plan ahead and escape using New God technology. But, it appears that he teleported into a new universe instead of the main DC universe where he is about to meet a new threat.
Check out the preview pages by Mora below, but be warned that it spoils DC K.O. #1.
Batman: Knightfight #1 hits comic book shops this coming Wednesday November 5th.
