DC to Publish Earth-Prime Series Set in The CW’s Arrowverse

DC comics will publish an event comics series set in the CW Arrowverse, titled Earth-Prime.

This six-issue event comic that will be released every two weeks. Each issue will spotlight a different DC TV show. The first issue will feature Batwoman and the second issue will feature Superman & Lois. The comic mini-series will culminate to a crossover finale in its sixth issue.

Earth-Prime Batwoman

Earth-Prime #1 will star the Ryan Wilder iteration of the Crimson Crusader. Batwoman TV show writers Natalie Abrams and Kelley Larson and Luke Fox actor Camrus Johnson will write the story, with Clayton Henry on art duties. The comic also showcases cover art by Kim Jacinto.

Ever since the tech that created many of Batman’s rogues hit the streets, Ryan Wilder has been running herself ragged trying to contain the new villains popping up around Gotham City. But when Clayface’s (making his CW debut) mud binds itself to a local high schooler, Batwoman will need help from an unexpected source to contain this muddy foe! Also, follow how Luke Fox balances his life as a super hero and a boyfriend!

Superman &Lois

Earth-Prime #2 will focus on Superman & Lois. Adam Mallinger, Jai Jamison, and Andrew Wong will write, with Tom Grummett and Norm Rapmund handling the visuals. Kim Jacinto also provides the cover. The story seems to be a flashback of Lois and Clark’s first wedding anniversary before they had kids.

The story will spotlight Clark Kent and Lois Lane’s first anniversary, as they try to celebrate their marital bliss is never easy when you’re a super hero husband and news reporter wife; especially when world-saving and creating hard-hitting stories continue to spoil your plans! Plus, the true origins of the evil Superman from John Henry Irons’ world are finally revealed!

Additionally, the issues will feature photo variant covers based on each show, bonus material, and “teasers” for the final crossover in issue #6. Future issues will showcase DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, DC’s Stargirl and The Flash. They will all be written by creative talent from the shows.

Earth-Prime #1 with Batwoman will hit comic shops April 5th. Earth-Prime #2 with Superman & Lois will come out April 19.
