Batman actor Robert Pattinson talks about how it is like filming The Batman Part II and how it is more difficult the second time around.
In an interview with GQ, Pattinson discussed how he will be filming the sequel until the end of the 2026 year. But he is starting feel the challenges with playing such an action-packed role.
I’m in London here till the end of the year doing a Batman sequel. It’s good. I’m definitely feeling my age when fighting a lot. I’m literally like, ‘God-____, this is significantly harder than it used to be.’ But it’s really fun. And I think the movie’s going to be pretty great. It’s got a really, really fun cast, but it’s a marathon.

Pattinson also opened up a little about collecting watches and that it is a big deal in Hollywood. Recently, the luxury brand JLC to become one of their brand ambassadors. Coincidentally, the brand also worn by Bruce Wayne in The Batman Part II.
I was [presenting at] the Oscars, and my manager was like, “Do you want to wear a watch?” And I was like, “Yeah.” I wasn’t thinking about doing a watch partnership or anything. I was looking through pictures of watches, and the rose-gold Master Control came up. I was like, “Ooh, that’s nice.” I very rarely even wear watches, but when I tried it on, I was like, “That’s my favorite watch.” I wanted to just buy it.
After the Oscars, I went back to London and ended up walking past the store and looking at all the other watches. Something clicked in my mind. I’m like, “They’re just so gorgeous.” And I ended up wearing one in [the next] Batman as well. This seems like quite a nice partnership to have, and it seems very suited to me as well. I like that style so much and the philosophy of the company.”
In yet another funny coincidence, it turns out that Christian Bale‘s Bruce Wayne from The Dark Knight trilogy also wore JLC watches. Robert Pattinson noted how that brand really gives Bruce Wayne.
When I was just starting to look them up and trying to decide which model to have for it, I realized that Christian had them as well. It is weird—as soon as you put the Reverso on, it definitely has a Bruce Wayne feel. There’s something that felt so incredibly correct for it, even the strap we chose. It’s the last thing I put on when you put the costume on, and there’s a guy who’s looking after the watch, and it all feels extremely Bruce Wayne-coded.
The Batman Part II is currently filming and will hit theaters February 18, 2028.
