Funko has announced two brand new POPs based on Catwoman, from the movie Batman Returns, and Mr. Freeze from Batman & Robin. The two new POPs are both part of the Funko Art Series, which currently has around 60 characters in the collection.
First up is the Mr. Freeze POP! as portrayed by the actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, in Joel Schumacher’s 1997 movie Batman & Robin. The POP! is a light icy blue color with snowflakes, diamonds, and the Batman and Robin logos printed all over in white. This is the third version of Mr. Freeze from Batman & Robin to be released by Funko, the first was the standard movie version, and the second was a glitter version which was a 2020 Summer Convention Limited Edition Exclusive.
Next is the Catwoman Art Series POP! as played by Michelle Pfeiffer in the 1992 Tim Burton movie Batman Returns. The POP! is a bright vibrant purple, with paw prints and the Catwoman mask and whip printed all over in black. The POP! is also covered in scratches and has the stitching detail on Catwoman’s costume. It’s very subtle and you have to look closely to be able to see it properly. This is the second Catwoman from Batman Returns to be released by Funko, with the first being the standard movie version.
Both of these POPs are so much fun and although I’m not usually a fan of the Art Series POPs, I actually really like these. The colors are so bright and vibrant and I love the prints on both of them.
Both POPs are Target exclusives and are available for pre-order on the Target website. Catwoman is due to be released on 31st January 2022 and Mr. Freeze is due for release on April 7th, 2022.
