We have been given our first online look at Javicia Leslie as Batwoman, by the actress herself. Season two is getting more real.
On Instagram, the new Batwoman star posted a behind-the-scenes look at her in costume. At first glance, her outfit looks exactly the same as Ruby Rose’s Batwoman suit, as Leslie also donned the red wig, cowl, and costume.
Differences in the Cowl
However, there are some very subtle changes in the cowl design. The updated mask/helmet wraps around to the chin, where Rose’s cowl simply ended around her jawline. The cowl also modified has a modified nose, which is more pointy, whereas the original version is smaller. The new cowl certainly has a more fearsome Batman look to it.
These minor tweaks are sure to be just the start. Javicia Leslie promised in the captions to “wait until Ryan Wilder puts her own spin on the Batsuit” With a promise like that, it sounds like fans should be in for some major changes to the outfit!
