While Americans were sleeping off leftovers from Thanksgiving, or from late night shopping on Black Friday, the one true voice of Batman was celebrating another year on this Earth. Yesterday, November 30th, Kevin Conroy turned 64. (I wish I had a clever Beatles reference to insert here, but alas, I came up short.) Our geeky ambassador, and the one true voice of the Joker, then reared his head. In a great tribute from an amorous friend, Mark Hamill wished Kevin Conroy a Happy Birthday on Twitter.
SHOUT OUT to @RealKevinConroy for no particular reason other than being vengeance, being the night & for being the best partner a demented clown could ever hope for.

Hamill is always very active on Twitter, providing fanboys like me with so much joy for the simplest things. He was just wishing his friend a Happy Birthday, but of course, it goes much deeper for us fans, since these two helped to bring about quite possibly the best incarnations of Batman and The Joker ever. The fanart of that wholesome photo is just so delightful, as is Hamill’s genius use of emoticons. Don’t you just love Mark Hamill?
You know, it’s kinda in character too. Joker has always been one for festivities and he’d also wish Batman a Happy Birthday on Twitter. It’d probably just coincide with some incredibly extravagant display of affection that would likely cost the lives of many Gothamites. Probably an exploding cake or something. But, you know, it’s the thought that counts… right? Then, Bats would rush over and defuse the bomb and throw a piece of cake in Joker’s face as he’s being carted away by GCPD. Batman would quietly drive back to the Batcave, take off his cowl to be greeted by Alfred with a party hat and nice slice of cake. This could be a great Batman: Animated Series episode. Where’s Bruce Timm when you need him?
Happy Belated Birthday, Kevin Conroy. Thank you for bringing my favorite version of Batman to life.
Kevin Conroy will be appearing as Bruce Wayne in the huge Arrowverse crossover event, Crisis on Infinite Earths, which will kick off on December 8th, 2019.
