Even though it did not cinch the top spot for the weekend box office, Suicide Squad still made a sizable amount in North America.

Suicide Squad  slipped to second place-a meager 42% drop from the previous weekend-earning $12.1 million in its fourth weekend. This places the running North American box office gross at $282.9 million. On top of that, the film earned an additional $19.1 million from its international market, which makes its foreign total $353.1 million.

Overall, the David Ayer action flick grossed a grand, combined total of $635.9 million. It is also now ranked in eighth place in 2016 film releases, right behind The Secret Life of Pets.

With the lower than expected audience drop between weekends, Suicide Squad is shaping up to be a movie with surprisingly strong legs in an otherwise disappointing box office summer season. Now the next milestone is to see if it can it hit the $650 million mark.

Suicide Squad is now playing in theaters.
