On the release day of Absolute Catwoman #1, DC Comics will make a second printing of the hit debut issue.
Due to overwhelming demand, the second printing will hit comics shops on July 15. Unfortunately, the second printing does not feature any new covers. It will reprint the original main cover by series artist Bengal. It also will print two variants by Guillem March and Kaare Andrews. The Andrews cover is also a foil variant cover. Like I said earlier, these covers are not new but are reused from the first printing.
Once again, the sales success of Catwoman and its cohort Absolute Green Arrow has been nothing less than stunning. In addition to Catwoman getting such a quick second printing, Green Arrow #1 also will go back for a second printing. Reports indicate that Green Arrow #1 sold more than 300,000 copies. When was the last time a Green Arrow comic sold that many copies?! It speaks to the continued success of DC’s Absolute line that started with Absolute Batman.
But enough of Green Arrow. This isn’t a Green Arrow fan-site. DC also announced a special one-shot that features another new Absolute fan-favorite character.

The ending of issue one of Catwoman revealed one of the assassins hunting Selina Kyle is none other than the Absolute version of Cassandra Cain. Now DC will expand Cassandra’s story in her own one-shot special titled: Absolute Cassandra Cain: The Shadow’s Hand.
Che Grayson will write The Shadow’s Hand with art by Matias Bergara and a main cover by Bengal, will publish on September 9, 2026. Absolute Catwoman will then resume publishing with #4 in October.

The Shadow’s Hand will publish on September 9th, between issues #3 and #4 of Absolute Catwoman. Not only will we see Cassandra, but we will also see the Absolute versions of the League of Assassins and Lady Shiva. Check out the official DC solicitation:
