Detective Comics #1091 is a beautiful issue that focuses on a bunch of moral dilemmas that Bruce faces. I can’t wait to tell you all about it!

Future Planning

This issue is absolutely wonderful. We bat fans know that the possibility of Bruce having a happy ending, or making it out of this life are almost impossible. We know that his guilt, his determination, and his drive for “the mission” will end in his death. So when the offer to reset a little bit, a treatment that can prolong his life to keep him fighting for longer is offered. He must weigh the consequences. In true Batman form, everything seems too good to not be evil.

Kids Today

As well as this being a deep issue filled with rights and wrongs, moral codes, possibility, it was also a stunning action packed issue with friends and foes alike joining in to the thoughts Bruce was having.
I love that this is not just Batman working on a case and the at this point quite large Bat family were all nowhere to be found. I hate that! This issue shows us, Batman is not alone, his nightmares are almost exactly what you’d expect, he has friends, he has more than one villain – and on that note, the villains do not disappear just because another villain is his main focus. All of this is why I love the writing style of Tom Taylor. He is loyal to the character, he writes fan service just to make us happy, so he can later destroy us at his earliest convenience. What more could you want?

Conclusion

Detective Comics #1091 is a fantastic issue. If you’re not reading this series, you best jump in a time machine. Go back to a month ago, buy the last issue, pre order this issue and slap past you in the face for not being a fool!
