“Rise and Revenge” – Part Six

Catwoman #56 spells a real turning point for Selina and her hold in Gotham City. The conflict has been building to this for six parts over twenty issues, and now it culminates in an finale that never stops or holds back with its action or its light. but rich artwork.
Having multiple different artistic eyes across different sections of pages is usually a little disconcerting, but the creative team has been able to keep the artwork consistent in this issue and it’s very welcome. It adds up to the high action and explosive scenes that make up the entire chapter.
Catwoman #56 does an amazing job of reminding the reader how far Selina’s come while Tini Howard’s been writing the book. The immense cast of characters is on full show throughout the issue, and each one gets a fair length of screen time, proving their importance to Selina.
The happy result of this is that the issue’s full-on, and non-stop. Dramatic moment to explosive action is the tone of this comic, and it’s the perfect way to end the current story arc.
Conroy’s sounds like a place I’d very much like to dine, but the man it’s named after is someone I’ll miss every day.
Conclusion
With an ending, there’s invariably a new beginning, this issue leaves us very eager to imagine what can happen next. Catwoman #56 is a strong place for new readers to enter the title, as it shows Selina as she is now. She’s bringing her regime to Gotham’s underbelly but with peaceful intent.
However, there will be one big presence who may not agree. Readers have much to be excited about coming very soon.
