Winston Duke to Voice Batman in ‘Batman Unburied’

DC has announced that Winston Duke will play Batman in the Batman Unburied scripted podcast.

The Black Panther star will headline an all-star cast of actors for the podcast drama series. The cast includes Gina Rodriguez as Barbara Gordon, Jason Isaacs as Alfred, Lance Reddick as Thomas Wayne, and Hasan Minhaj as The Riddler. Toks Olagundoye as Martha Wayne; John Rhys-Davies as Dr. Hunter, and Ashly Burch as Vicki Vale also star in the podcast.

Beyond English, the podcast will also be aired in Portuguese, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian and Italian. Each translation will use local actors as the voice talent. In Mexico, actor Alfonso Herrera will voice Batman.

What to Expect from ‘Batman Unburied’

Unburied also features an original script from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight writer David S. Goyer.

It’s the first original podcast from the Warner Bros. and Spotify collaboration. The story is about Bruce Wayne working as a forensic pathologist in Gotham Hospital. There he needs to hunt the serial killer known as The Harvester. Check out the full series description below:

Batman Unburied is a psychological thriller that takes us on a new journey deep into the mind of Bruce Wayne introducing a slew of dark twists and turns with a number of classic Batman Super-Villains.

 

When audiences meet Bruce Wayne he is a forensic pathologist, working in the bowels of Gotham Hospital and tasked with examining the victims of The Harvester, a gruesome serial killer preying on Gotham’s citizens.

 

Not only will the Super-Hero be forced to face his own mental demons, but he will also have to overcome them in order to save the citizens of Gotham as his alter-ego Batman.

Batman Unburied will debut on Spotify on May 3, 2022.
