Jason Todd will be returning in early 2024 for a six-issue series, Red Hood: The Hill. Created by Shawn Martinbrough and Stanford Greene, and featuring a variant cover by Tirso Cons.
In Gotham City’s early days, The Hill was one of Gotham City’s most dangerous neighborhoods, one that required the residents to band together to keep themselves safe when the police – and sometimes even Batman – wouldn’t.
Now, as the Hill finds itself gentrifying, old habits die hard as the vigilante known only as Strike works with her team to keep the town safe—but she’s not alone. Jason Todd, one of the Hill’s newest residents, is more than happy to don the visage of Red Hood to help Strike keep his new home safe.
Now, a new villain is emerging from the shadows. Will Red Hood, Strike and the Hill’s small militia of vigilantes be able to keep their home safe?
Jason has a long history of violence, from being too rough with goons when he was Robin, to having so much trauma inflicted on him. Maybe he’ll blend in well by living in a place buried in violence. We’ll also get to see him trying to find a life after the events of the “Joker War.” We can’t wait to see what this new series has in store for us.
Set to be released on Tuesday, February 6th, 2024, find out why Jason has moved to The Hill and who this new villain is in Red Hood: The Hill #0.
Ahead of this first issue of the series, Red Hood #51 and Red Hood #52 will be released, also written by Shawn Martinbrough, with art by Tony Akins and Moritat. In this two-issue collection, also featuring a new cover by Sanford Greene, the Joker War is raging across Gotham and a new vigilante group has formed to protect their home, but Red Hood has found himself caught in the crossfire!
