Ultra Realistic Armored Batman By Sideshow

Sideshow Collectibles and Beast Kingdom’s line of Dynamic 8ction Heroes has announced pre-order details of a new interpretation of surely one of the most beloved versions of Batman’s modified suits – the classic Armored Batman – and this one promises light up eyes!

The suit is, of course, taken from a key scene of one of the most important Batman books of all time; The Dark Knight Returns. Rather than replicating the look of the original Frank Miller design, which rather impractically bulked Batman with armor whilst incorporating the pale blue and grey of the Batman suit which was so iconic in the era, this new sculpt reflects a more modern preference of darker coloring and a greater awareness of maneuverability.

The result wouldn’t look out of place in the medieval era. The pattern of the seam on his chest is enhanced and the material parts of the suit, which hide the joints, are in darker greys. The cape is a fantastic petrol blue, while the armor itself is a brushed gun metal black, which looks particularly affective for the helmet. With perfect proportions, add-on accessories which include crackling energy bolts, for his gauntlets and Green Arrows Kryptonite enhanced arrow plus three interchangeable heads – with those light-up eyes!  – and we have ourselves a perfect reinvention of a bona fide classic as a true Dark Knight.
