We’ve already seen him beating up some goons in a gameplay trailer, but now, Red Hood has his very own Gotham Knights trailer. Instead of teaming up with Nightwing, this time Jason Todd steps into the spotlight by himself and shows us more of the new power he gained after his dip in the Lazarus Pit.
Jason’s fighting style is shown more in this clip than in the gameplay trailer, and it’s as brutal as you’d expect. If he isn’t shooting people’s kneecaps off, he’s punching them with the guns or slamming them into the ground. We see a brief team-up between him and Batgirl too, where she throws him a lackey to break.
The new ability we’ve all been a little skeptical of since it was first announced makes an appearance too, and it actually does more than let him jump through the air. In one scene, he shoots his power at a target and it bounces between his enemies. It’s also shown that he can’t control his power very well just yet.
Since we saw more outfits in the gameplay trailer, what I’ve dubbed the ‘Darth Maul Helmet’ was an interesting choice. Personally, I think his mask is very Deadpool-looking, but as long as it’s red, it can’t be wrong.
The Red Hood trailer’s the third of the four playable characters, meaning that we should be seeing one for Nightwing drop soon. After that, we just have to hope they give us more while we wait for the actual game.
Gotham Knights is scheduled to release on October 25 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
