What a tease for the holiday season! The metal-verse was born in 2017 and it introduced the dark multiverse, home to twisted versions of Batman (to start). A sequel to that event, Death Metal, is currently being published by DC Comics and comes from creators of the dark multiverse, Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo.

There are several tie-in products to this series, and the latest is a set of action figures from McFarlane Toys. Posting to their Instagram:

Your next Build-A Wave sneak peek is here! Get ready to collect all Death Metal action figures to build The DARKFATHER! Coming to stores Spring 2021.

While we have to wait until Spring of 2021 to get our hands on these, McFarlane toys posted pictures of at least 5 of the figures in the lineup.

There’s the Robin King, and he’s just as dark and twisted as he is in the comics; complete with the thorn-like crown. Then we have a chainsaw-wielding Wonder Woman. in all her glory, but it’s Batman that really stands out. He comes with a detailed demonic red guitar. There’s a screaming demon head that’s integrated into the headstock of the guitar while the body of the guitar has a massive scythe at the bottom; what could that be used for? Batman himself is decked out in a trenchcoat with metal spikes on the shoulders, some killer gauntlets, and boots that match the whole aesthetic.

SHOULD BATMAN KILL?

Greg Capullo recently spoke to Loudwire about Batman:

I don’t think he should kill. If Batman ever were to kill, he would be the bloodiest of the bloody. He would be on a killing rampage that would never stop. He’d make the Punisher look like a p***y. Once he crossed that line, it’s over, and then he becomes exactly what he’s warring against.
