Fans are flipping their lids about this crossover title. Did the CW just create a setup for one of the most epic DC Comics arcs in history?
The newly titled event alludes to the DC story arc that deals with the sorrowful take of the heroes’ failures. It is an intense comic story that discusses the trauma that comes with being an absolute force of good, and the pain and truth that com with love and friendships.
The CW announced that the title for the 2019 Arrowverse crossover event will be “Crisis on Infinite Earths” after the conclusion of the three-part “Elseworlds” crossover arc, which introduced, for the first time ever on live-television: Batwoman (Ruby Rose). The confirmation of the title was on a card at the end of the final episode of the crossover event reading: “Coming Fall 2019… Crisis On Infinite Earths.”
There was a collective roar of excitement on Twitter as fans lit-up at this exciting news:

From the original comic arc, the story’s villain, Anti-Monitor enters the multiverse to destroy infinite Earths. Similar to the DC Animated series film: Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths where a disheartened and dark Owlman (Batman’s alter-ego from another dimension) decides to implode all universes.
This comic arc is still preserved in my closet as one of my most beloved stories from DC. How stoked are you all? Let us know! #CrisisOnInfiniteEarths appears to be trending.
