It’s almost that time of the year again. Summer is winding down, school is starting back up, and our favorite TV shows are coming back for a new season. If you’ve been following the tale of a young Bruce Wayne, up and coming GCPD detective Jim Gordon, and rising mob boss Oswald “Penguin” Cobblepot, then you probably already have September 19th circled on your calendar for the Season 3 premiere of Fox’s Gotham.
However, if you haven’t been watching the show and were hoping to play catchup, then mark September 19th for a different reason, that is when Season 2 of Gotham will be available for streaming on Netflix.
It is unusual for a show to be available for streaming on Netflix the same day as the show’s newest season is set to start. What has become commonplace the last few years is that a show’s last season will be available a couple of weeks before the new season premieres for fans to either remind themselves of what had happened or for new fans to quickly be able to play catchup.
For fans who wanted to watch the previous seasons before jumping into Season 3, I recommend setting your DVR to record all the new episodes so while you are playing catchup on Netflix, you’ll have the new episodes ready for you when you are done.
So whether you are eagerly anticipating the new season of Gotham, or patiently waiting to play catchup on Seasons 1 and 2, make sure you mark September 19th on your calendar!
