Security has been tight around the set of the upcoming and hugely anticipated Batman Vs Superman:Dawn of Justice set, but that hasn’t stopped a few new details from slipping out from behind the non-disclosure agreement curtain. Firstly, according a source at batman-on-film.com, it appears that there have been a lot of night shoots at the seaside port area in Detroit, featuring the batmobile heavily in an intense chase scene. The source (codename “Shoeless”) had a few other details about the shoot to share as well;
It seems as if The Batmobile has and will be involved. A chase scene has been filmed that included a lot of stunts. A Batman stunt double was used to film a scene that had Batman standing on the top of a 40+ story crane. Most of this shooting has been stunt double heavy.
Sounds like there’s going to be a chase scene, which is of course awesome, I for one have been wanting to see that new batmobile in action for quite some time now, and it’s good to know that they’ll be getting some quality use out of it. It all sounds pretty legitimate and batman-on-film’s source has been reliable before, so there’s no real cause for doubt. It makes sense that they’re shooting at night as well, it both avoids suspicion and night time is of course Batman’s preferred time of operation. As for the absence of Ben Affleck, I don’t think that’s too concerning, most major action scenes in superhero movies are done almost entirely by stunt doubles, because of how easy it is to disguise them (because of the masks). So unless there’s dialogue, Affleck mightn’t even be needed at all.
But the night time detroit chase isn’t the only new info to come out today. Shoeless also gave us the small tidbit that Lex Luthor will be having hair, but it won’t be “the bright red that some sites are speculating.”
All in all it appears that security around this film continues to be maddeningly tight with only the smallest of details squeaking through the cracks. This is of course maddening for all us fans who just want to know what’s going on, but more importantly, we wanna see this film. Come on 2016, get here sooner!
