Batman: the Animated Series Live-Action Intro

Batman: The Animated Series (1992-1998) still resonates as an important work of fiction, art, and animation, despite the passing of time and numerous iterations/versions of the Batman character via film, print media, and television.  Many, if not most, Batman fans and appreciators are aware that the Arkham video game series, including Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, are informed by (if not directly based on) the Animated Series.  Indubitably, this show is influential to companies and fans alike, most likely due to its “dark” visual style and tone, faithfulness to the Batman character, and perhaps even its voice acting talent.  Hence, one should not be surprised if, for example, someone creates a live-action re-imagining of the BTAS introductory sequence — and that’s exactly what we have here.

Here’s what the crew had to say, as per their YouTube post:

This is a nonprofit film made by fans.

The re-imagining combines 3D effects and live-action, and attempts to be a scene-for-scene (and perhaps, shot-for-shot) adaptation of the original BTAS intro.

In short, don’t underestimate the power of art (or Batman) to inspire creative individuals and fans alike!
