Injustice 2 is just around the corner, video game fans. With that, the marketing train is really revving up by dropping tons of character trailers. Over the past few weeks, you should have seen the likes of Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Brainiac, and yesterday’s Darkseid reveal.
Well, if you haven’t… here you go:
Poison Ivy was a huge surprise as she isn’t too much of a fighter, but they, of course, incorporated her sensuality and her plant-based powers. I really enjoyed Scarecrow’s gameplay and especially his special attack, which breathtaking. The inclusion of Brainiac and Darkseid are both massive additions, despite the boring gameplay and special on the former’s part.
But we all know why we’re here. Just a few hours prior to DC All Access’s live stream event, they released the Joker’s gameplay trailer.

With a returning character, the overall fighting style will be similar with some moves recycled. However, it seems like this version is a little more brutal. The repeated stabbings, the use of the crowbar, and the increased use of his gun stand out most to me. His special attack is far more intimidating as well. And let’s not forget about the elephant in the room… his makeover. The character design in the first Injustice leaned more towards a classic look, right down to his facial structure being somewhat similar to Caesar Romero. This one, however, seems more like muted Jared Leto with a ridiculous haircut reminiscent of goth band vocalists. To say the least, I’m not a fan of the look.
