Titans #18 is an emotional journey of emotions showing us that emotional people can have feelings of emotion too.
Don’t Worry, Be Happy
If I got told, I could live on a space station with magic, future tech, super suit repair and all the food I could eat, and live down the hall from the likes of Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Powergirl and many many more. I would be pretty cheerful, if I was then told I had to live underground with the same people I’ve been living with since I was 15. I may somewhat be miffed. Enter the Titans. Who thanks to the new leadership of Donna Troy are living that exact scenario.
Now don’t get me wrong, the reason Donna made this hard call was sound. she makes perfect sense. Doesn’t mean the team has to like it. This was a very fun read, and definitely shows a coherent, connected universe that things happening in multiple other books have and effect on this one. I love that!
Ranting and Raven
The art and colours were perfect again this issue. I love vibrant superhero comics with great splashes of action and color! The writing was lovely, talking about past stories, present stories and all through planting the seeds of the stories that are to come, each character’s voice was wonderful and accurate to the 70 years of storytelling. Really an all around smash of a book. I hope all issues are as solid as this going forward.
Conclusion
Titans #18 is a solid book, with fun, fights and future teases! Can’t wait to see what’s next for the team.
