Harley Quinn #34 is out this week and the confrontation we have been waiting for is finally here. Harleys across the Multiverse are finding themselves and their respective Ivys under attack.

Our Harley has been recruited by the detective on the case, but there are shenanigans afoot, and not everything’s as it seems. The main cover, by Sweeney Boo, is fabulously fun! The cutest cosmic janitor Harley is ready for a clean-up on aisle 48!

Getting Away With Murder

Footprints at the site of the last murder in issue #33 have led to this month’s major confrontation. “Bud” and “Lou” have some ‘splainin’ to do! Just what was their aim and reasoning for leaving their prints at Vampire Harley’s murder? Now, Ms. Quinn and Lux are on their way to learn the answers from the Banshee of the Swamp, and this version of Ivy has them… in more ways than one.

Meanwhile, Lady Quark hasn’t been the most upfront about her interest in Harley. It seems that there were more devious purposes behind it all, plans that are finally making themselves known.

You Break It, You Bought It

One of the fun things about this issue is the brilliant colors Sweeney Boo brings to their work; they make these scenes feel so joyful. I mean, a perfect example can be seen when Harley gets her babies Bud and Lou groomed. The pinks and blues are so adorable and just make you smile. Everyone’s so spiffy!

Plus, we get a bonus short story titled “Harley’s Big Exit”. Written by Grace Ellis, with art by Steve Lieber, colors by Tamra Bon Villain, and letters by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou, this story’s another dream. This time, the Queen Of Chaos breaks the fourth wall while making her way through Golden Age Harley Quinn-themed advertisements. This fever dream is amazing, I especially loved the “stationary” Harley… she’s freaking great!

Conclusion

Harley Quinn #34 gives the promise of answers on the horizon for a lot of the plots in this arc. I look forward to seeing what “Bud” and “Lou” are really after in all this. Also, what are Lady Quark’s true intentions?

I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
