Nightwing #124 Shows us the lengths that Dick will go to prevent a war and to save lives. This issue really shows us his struggle…

Blood of My Blood

How much would you do to protect your fellow man? How far would you go to save the lives of at risk kids? If a room full of people needed a blood transfusion and you were the only matching donor, how much blood would you give? These are all questions the Nightwing doesn’t hesitate to answer in this issue. The honest, good hearted heroics of the former boy wonder really shine through. His actions inspire us, the reader, and the other characters in this story. But the threat is still present. And an old threat has reared its ugly head once again.

Too Much, Too Late and Too Far Gone.

I want to give a quick shout out to the artist on this book, as it has been consistently great. It’s often overlooked when a book is consistently well drawn. So bravo Dexter and Veronica, you guys are killing it. Now to the writing, this book has shown the struggle of Nightwing trying to hold back the tide, trying to prevent a huge gang war. Devoted to saving everyone. Whilst being doubted by those around him. The sheer struggle, the exhaustion and frustration. I could taste it. Wonderfully written and will lead to a massive pay off, or a gut wrenching amount of pain. I can’t wait to read whatever is to come.

Conclusion

Nightwing #124 is a fantastic read, with multiple levels of emotional storytelling. I can’t wait to see what comes next. This book is a secret contender for best on the shelf!
