First announced last year, DC Entertainment has recently released another trailer for the upcoming Suicide Squad ISEKAI anime series.

Starting with glimpses of Harley and her puddin’ wreaking havoc on Gotham City, acting so very in love, it abruptly cuts to Amanda Waller assigning her new Task Force X, featuring Harley Quinn, King Shark, Peacemaker, Clayface and Deadshot, a new mission.

Tasked with keeping the peace between a Kingdom and Empire in a new magical, monster-riddled world, they had 72 hours to complete their mission or literally lose their heads. What could possibly go wrong? We get to see lots of moments of the Squad kicking monster-butt and thoroughly enjoying themselves, at least Harley is, and some of their fun bonding moments, before ending with Harley promising to return to her beloved Joker.

Starring Anna Nagase as Harley Quinn, Takehito Koyasu as Peacemaker, Jun Fukuyama as Clayface, Subaru Kimura as King Shark, Taku Yashiro as Rick Flag, Reigo Yamaguchi as Deadshot, Chika Anzai as Katana, Yuichiro Umehara as Joker, and Kujira as Amanda Waller. We’ll also see Reina Ueda, Mamiko Noto, and Jun Fukushima voicing original characters Fione, Aldora, and Cecil.

Created by WIT Studios, Suicide Squad ISEKAI is directed by Eri Osada (Jujutsu Kaisen), and written by Tappei Nagatsuki (Re:Zero) and Eiji Umehara (Peacemaker Kurogane: Omo-michi), the ending theme “Go-Getter” is performed by Hololive’s Calliope Mori.

Suicide Squad ISEKAI is set to premiere in July 2024.
