Batman is getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Per a report from Variety, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Walk of Fame Selection Committee announced the full list of 2020 recipients this week.

Some other honorees that were included on the 2020 list include Julia Roberts, Spike Lee, 50 Cent, Octavia Spencer, Billy Idol and Dave Chappelle. There were even a few recipients that also have a history in the superhero genre. Burt Ward (Batman), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Laurence Fishburne (Man of Steel, Ant-Man and the Wasp) and Mahershala Ali (Luke Cage) were also on the list.

As exciting as it is that Batman will be getting his own star, he won’t be the first fictional character to make it on the Walk of Fame. Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, Kermit the Frog, The Simpsons and Snoopy all have stars, just to name a few. Batman, however, will be the first superhero to receive the honor.

At this time, it’s still unknown who will be included in Batman’s ceremony. Creators Bob Kane and Bill Finger have long since passed away, but perhaps members of their family could be there. The only actors with their own stars are Adam West and Michael Keaton. West, unfortunately, passed away in 2017.

As I mentioned earlier, Burt Ward is getting his own star too, so he could be there in honor of Adam West.

With Batman having such a far reach across various mediums, I think they should invite as many big names that have contributed to Batman as possible. From writers to artists to voice actors to on-screen actors. Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, Dennis O’Neil, Scott Snyder, Frank Miller, Grant Morrison, Greg Capullo, Jim Lee, Kevin Conroy, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, Robert Pattinson, Christopher Nolan, Tim Burton.

Bring as many people as possible that have contributed to the legend of Batman. This would be the ultimate tribute to the greatest fictional character.

Who would you like to see at the ceremony? Let us know!
