Now that Gotham has finished, fans must be wondering what’s next. The show’s finale, and 100th episode, aired last Thursday; bringing the show to a dramatic climax.

Over the course of it’s run, the show introduced a number of well known characters from the Batman mythos. The likes of The Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman and Joker have been just some of the stand out characters. What Gotham did really was the way they put their own spin on the characters we all know and love from the comics.

Cat’s Out The Bag

One of the most loved characters on Gotham was Selina Kyle, played by Camren Bicondova until the finale in which the role was taken over by Lili Simmons. Simmons did such a good at capturing the essence of Bicondova’s version of the character that it was as if the younger actress had never left!

Speaking in an interview, Gotham showrunner John Stephens spoke about ending the series as well as a potential Catwoman spinoff. When asked he had this to say;

I don’t know that it’s planted, I’d say… hopeful?

With any luck this means that we’ll get to see a cat centred spinoff series. It could show the transition from Bicondova into Simmons and what Selina Kyle did with her time in the 10 year gap between “They Did What?” and “The Beginning.”

Should the show go beyond the realms of ideas and rumors, it’ll be the second spinoff inspired by Gotham; Pennyworth being the first. I for one, would love to see the return of Selina Kyle/Catwoman.

Let us know if you’d like to see a Catwoman spinoff series too!
