‘Trinity’ Ending in April

Trinity will end in April, as revealed by the latest DC Comics solicitations.

The comic series stars Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. It launched in 2016 during the initial rollout of the DC Comics Rebirth initiative. Francis Manapul originally wrote and drew the series. Currently, it is written by Wonder Woman writer James Robinson.

Do We Need ‘Trinity’?

The series seems to imply a regular team-up with Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. However, that is also the premise for Justice League. With Justice League being the more popular title and stronger brand name, Trinity felt redundant. That is not to mention the numerous solo comics starring Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. Trinity’s cancellation feels like readers’ burnout on the characters’ overexposure.

The series is set to end in April with issue #22. Check out the solicitation of the final issue.
