‘Suicide Squad’ Cinematographer Reveals Image from Deleted Joker Scene

Like Batman v Superman before it, Suicide Squad was treated to a ton of re-tooling. Some of the deleted scenes can be seen in the Suicide Squad: Extended Cut that hit shelves late last year. However, there are still a few scenes that people know exist, but still have not seen the light of day. For instance, there was a scene glimpsed in the second trailer, it featured a tuxedo-clad Joker spraying bullets and removing a pin from a smoke bomb, with char on the side of his face.

We all obviously saw it in the trailer, despite its omission from the movie. Just for more evidence of its existence, Roman Vasyanov, the cinematogepher of Suicide Squad, just released a photo of Jared Leto from that scene, sharing it to Instagram yesterday. The photo features a downcast Joker, while the trailer featured him looking more maniacal.

It looks more like a photo shot from the set rather than a still from the actual scene. However, with an extremely unpredictable character like Joker, it’s hard to say. Either way, it’s a great high-quality photo of Jared Leto’s Joker in a scene that we never got to see.

If you scroll through his Instagram, you’ll find a few more beautiful shots of the cast like this one.

Suicide Squad is available on Digital HD, DVD, and Blu-Ray.
