Today, the CW aired the Dawn of the Justice League special. And in it, they released the first official Suicide Squad trailer.

This is looking to be a very colorful movie. The tone of this trailer stands in stark contrast to the previous footage, showcasing the comedic mania of this movie. It was a nice touch using “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
There’s also a lot of footage of the lesser known characters… which is everybody except the Joker, Harley Quinn, and Deadshot. There’s a lot more Harley, which we can now determine that although she remains loveably insane, she lacks her distinctive accent.
Regardless, considering how dark and moody the DC films have been, I think this flick will be a welcome relief. This movie looks really fun.
Suicide Squad opens August 5th, 2016 and stars Will Smith, Joel Kinnaman, Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, and Jared Leto. The film is written and directed by David Ayer.
