Roller coasters are not always for the faint of heart. High velocity twists, turns, and drops don’t necessarily sit well with people who have weak stomachs either. Growing up, I was always terrified of heights and roller coasters until I chanced a ride on the Incredible Hulk at Islands of Adventure and I changed my mind. Since then, I’ve enjoyed most roller coasters and though there’s always a bit of apprehension going into any roller coaster, I always generally have a blast.
The Six Flags theme parks have enjoyed success as being some of the only amusements parks with official DC branded rides. There’s the Batman: The Ride that has been featured in multiple Six Flags locations. However, it looks like Six Flags Fiesta, Texas is going to get their own version. I’m actually afraid of riding this one. Check out the video above.
Touted as a 4D experience, it seems like you will strapped to a free spinning chair, no longer tethered by the stationary straps of yesteryear. Personally, I think that will be too much to handle, but I’m sure roller coaster aficionados and amateur adrenaline junkies will enjoy it nonetheless. If I’m ever in Fiesta, Texas, I certainly will give it a go, but it’s not on my To-Do list at the moment.
Nowadays, the cue experience is just as thrilling as the ride itself… that is, if you’re not waiting for over two hours. The queue is said to feature a Batmobile and functioning Bat signal.
The attraction is expected to open in summer of 2015.
Will you be making a pilgrimage to Fiesta, Texas any time soon?
